Christmas Writing: an exercise for fun

To celebrate the fact my book You Could Make a Killing is now on special Christmas offer at a frankly ridiculously low price (see full details here), here’s another Christmas bit…

Many years ago, the magazine Blue Murder (RIP) set a Christmas challenge: write a short story of not more than 1,500 words for the festive period featuring the following words:

  • Egg Nog
  • Wreath
  • Turkey
  • Brandy
  • Santa

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to give it your own shot.

If you want to, you can send it in, and I’ll post ‘winning’ entries – and when I say ‘winning’ I mean it in the loosest possible sense. Nothing but the glory, and the chance for thousands, possibly millions, to see it on this here site…

(Analytics for viewers not currently available).

Closing date for entries for this non-existing contest is 20th December.

And if you want to see my non-winning entry all those years ago, you can find it elsewhere on the site here.
